Breastfeeding is a very healthy practice that should be accepted and welcomed worldwide. Mother’s milk should be the number one meal and diet of every infant. It should be almost irreplaceable except in rare cases where an alternative is needed or the mother of the child is not available.

Breast milk is very essential to the growth and development of every child.Breastfeeding is a paramount process in child development and it also helps to bond mother and child together. Even though civilization coupled with breakthroughs have given us alternatives to breast-milk and breastfeeding. Breastfeeding will always be the number one choice of many mothers.

although on the bright side alternatives to breastfeeding will always be a welcome idea especially when the biological mother of a child is unavailable for any reason.

African’s and other third world countries will find it hard to accept alternatives to breastfeeding easily. Especially when the mother of a child is present and available. Breastfeeding is a core part of most African cultures and they might see mothers who use alternatives to breastfeeding as uncultured and manner less.

Most African’s and third world countries believe without doubts believe that breastfeeding should be encouraged as this is part of their norms and traditions.

Although in developed nations it is not a thing of surprise that such a resolution can be opposed as this gives more time and opportunity to nursing mothers to cater for other areas of their life like their careers, field of work or profession.

With technology and civilization slowly and gradually finding it’s way to third world countries and the world at large it’s only but a little time for nursing mothers in Africa, India and other third world countries begin to consider the idea of breastfeeding alternatives. This will also make more men and fathers particularly more active and involved in child care, development and child training.
